Operator Intelligence — Coming Soon

Find out what your
business is worth.
Free. Four minutes.

86% of small business owners have no professional valuation. Operator Intelligence gives you your Business Independence Score, your estimated sale price as a range with a most-likely midpoint, and a ranked list of what moves it most. Built on 10 years of BizBuySell and IBBA closed-transaction data, 1.6 million SBA loan records, and live market indices.

Score 1
Business Independence Score

Measures how dependent your business is on you personally. Based on your weekly hours in the business, how much revenue would be at risk if you were unavailable, whether you have a manager in place, and how many days you have been able to step away in the past year.

A score under 30 signals significant owner dependency that a buyer will price aggressively. Above 70 means the business can run without you — the single most valuable operational characteristic at sale.

Score 2
Systems Maturity Score

Measures how documented and repeatable your operations are. Based on the number of written processes, whether roles are documented, how new team members are trained, and whether you track performance with real data.

A low SMS means the knowledge that makes your business work lives in your head — valuable, but not transferable to a buyer. Every undocumented process is a discount a buyer applies at closing.

Score 3
Acquisition Attractiveness Score

Measures what a buyer's due diligence would find. Based on revenue consistency, recurring revenue percentage, business age, customer concentration risk, and financial record quality.

This score maps directly to the multiple a buyer will pay. CPA-reviewed financials, recurring revenue above 50%, and no single customer above 25% of revenue are the three factors that command the highest premiums.

The data behind it

Four independent sources. No black boxes.

Most valuation tools give you a number with no explanation. These four sources triangulate each other — and the estimate shows its work.

10 yrs
Closed-transaction data

BizBuySell and IBBA Market Pulse, 2016–2026. Actual sale prices across 40 quarterly reports — not asking prices, not estimates.

1.6M
SBA loan records

SBA 7(a) and 504 records, FY1991–present, obtained via FOIA. Default rates and acquisition financing outcomes by industry — the risk data most tools ignore.

Live
Market sentiment

NFIB Small Business Optimism Index (monthly) and U.S. Chamber Small Business Index (quarterly). Current conditions affect what buyers are paying today.

125
Listings calibration set

Real business listings reviewed against the closed-transaction model — calibrating the gap between asking prices and what businesses actually sell for.

The gap between an owner-dependent business and an independent one is 1.65× versus 3.5× on identical earnings. On a $300,000-earnings business, that difference is $555,000.
